Hi, I’m Hannah. I like to tell stories.
I’m a visual thinker with a passion for digital design and storytelling. Through thoughtful user experience and strategic marketing, I help brands both small and large reach their full digital potential.
For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to tell stories. As a kid I’d choose reading books over playing outside. By the time I got to high school, I told myself I’d write the next great novel. Then somehow, that idea changed a bit. I joined the school paper and really came to enjoy telling the stories of others rather than creating my own (although my stories at that time were limited to very bad Harry Potter fan fiction). I loved finding that spark of magic in the lives of everyday people, and I wanted to tell their stories.
Throughout my college career at Ball State University, my passion for storytelling evolved. As a journalism graphics major, I learned that people could not only be moved by words, but by striking photography and beautiful typography. Even further, I worked with a team of professors and fellow students in the BSU Digital Publishing Studio to design and develop tablet and mobile applications. During my time in the DPS Studio I learned to tell stories through problem solving and purposeful interactions across different platforms.
After graduating in May 2016 with a degree in journalism graphics, I worked at a newspaper design center, where the most important thing I learned was that I did not want to work in a newspaper design center. I’m currently a junior art director at PACO Collective, a cross-cultural ad agency in Chicago. I also head the digital experience for Pierogi Fest™ and Wickedly Whiting. These experiences have helped me realize my true passion is helping brands grow digitally.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!
When I’m not working on expanding my skills in my free time, you can probably find me watching You’ve Got Mail for the zillionth time (I’m fairly positive Meg Ryan is actually my spirit animal). Every year I polka in parades, and because of that I have a lot of pride for my hometown of Whiting, IN. I’m constantly searching for Instagram-worthy brick walls and eating Pringles. I will always be perpetually waiting for my Hogwarts letter.
